NSR500U – 500W DC UPS / Battery Charger (12, 24, or 48Vdc)
The Helios NSR500U is a compact, high-efficiency 500W DC UPS and battery charger available in 12Vdc, 24Vdc, or 48Vdc models. Designed for fixed industrial and infrastructure installations that require uninterrupted DC power and intelligent battery management, the NSR500U ensures seamless no-break power transfer between mains and battery. Typical applications include SCADA networks, telecommunications systems, industrial automation, security equipment, and utility substations.
Part of the next-generation NSR Series, this model combines proven reliability with advanced monitoring, protection, and flexible connectivity. It features programmable temperature-compensated charging, deep discharge protection, low-voltage disconnect (LVD), and electronic circuit breaker (ECB) protection—maximising battery service life and system uptime in critical environments.
The NSR500U is compatible with sealed lead-acid (SLA), AGM, Gel, and Lithium-ion batteries, providing versatility for both established and modern installations. It operates across a wide input range (90–264Vac) and delivers up to 90% conversion efficiency, reducing losses and operating costs. Dual-fan cooling and an IP20-rated chassis ensure reliable performance in harsh environments.
For monitoring and integration, all NSR500U models include RS-485 MODBUS RTU. Optional versions add Ethernet/SNMP with web-based configuration, data logging, and remote diagnostics. Local LEDs and programmable alarm relays provide clear status information, while open communication protocols support seamless integration with SCADA, PLC, and telemetry systems.
The NSR500U is offered with M8 stud terminals as standard, while Phoenix connectors are also available on 24Vdc and 48Vdc models. Combined with its communication options, this makes the NSR500U one of the most flexible and dependable DC UPS solutions in its class.
