Description
CBI243A – 24V 3A 72W DIN Rail DC-UPS with Battery Care
The CBI243A is a compact 24V 3A DC-UPS that delivers 72W of reliable power for small-scale automation and safety systems. Combining power supply, battery charger, and backup module in one DIN rail-mounted device, it ensures continuous load supply with load priority operation. This means the load always receives available current first, with battery current supplementing when required, eliminating the need to oversize the power supply.
With Battery Care technology, the CBI243A provides IUoU multi-stage charging along with constant voltage and current support. Automatic Boost and Float charging stages help optimise battery life and enable recovery of flat batteries. A real-time auto-diagnostic system continuously monitors for conditions such as sulfated or shorted cells, reverse polarity, or disconnection, with alarm indication via LEDs and relay outputs.
The unit is compatible with Open Lead Acid, Sealed Lead Acid, Gel, Li-Ion, and Ni-Cd batteries. It features AUX 1 for optional RJTEMP sensor or DPY353 display, plus a dedicated connection for the RTCONN Start from Battery cable. Protections include short circuit, overload, overheating, and battery disconnection. With its compact IP20 DIN rail enclosure, the CBI243A is a cost-effective choice for automation, SCADA, and safety-critical applications.
