ADC5583 – 48Vdc 5A DIN Rail Battery Charger (274W)
The ADC5583 is a high-reliability DIN rail battery charger designed to support 48Vdc battery systems in industrial, utility, and critical infrastructure applications. It delivers a regulated 54.8Vdc float output at 5A continuous current (274W), with an adjustable range from 45–58Vdc to support various battery chemistries and system requirements.
This charger is powered by a switchable 230/115Vac input and integrates series diode protection, output over-voltage protection (OVP), and a module fail alarm relay to ensure safe, uninterrupted operation. It is convection-cooled and designed for DIN rail mounting, offering a compact and robust power solution for backup systems, communications equipment, and remote installations.
Additional functionality includes temperature compensated charging, which optimises battery health and longevity by adjusting charge voltage according to ambient temperature—essential in variable or extreme environments.
