Description
CBI123A – 12V 3A 36W DIN Rail DC-UPS with Battery Care
The CBI123A is a compact 12V DC-UPS that combines power supply, battery charger, and backup module in a single DIN rail-mounted unit. With a 3A output (36W), it ensures reliable backup for small-scale systems and critical loads where space is limited. Designed to prioritise load power, the unit automatically allocates available current between load and battery, allowing the battery charging current to supplement the load if required.
Equipped with Battery Care technology, the CBI123A supports IUoU 4-stage charging along with constant voltage and constant current operation. It features Boost, Float, and Recovery modes to optimise charging, extend battery life, and recover deeply discharged batteries. Automatic diagnostics identify issues such as sulfated batteries, shorted elements, or disconnection, with clear LED indications and relay outputs for alarms.
The charger supports a wide range of chemistries including Open Lead Acid, Sealed Lead Acid, Gel, Ni-Cd, and Li-Ion batteries. It integrates protection against short-circuit, overload, reverse polarity, and total battery discharge (LVD). Designed for compact installations, it provides continuous 3A load supply, up to 6A with battery assist, and peak current up to 12A.
An AUX Interface is provided for the optional RJTEMP temperature sensor or DPY353 display. The CBI123A is ideally suited for automation, fire and safety systems, security, and SCADA applications requiring compact and efficient DC backup.
