CBI1210A – 12V 10A 120W DIN Rail DC-UPS with Battery Care
The CBI1210A is a compact 12V DC-UPS designed to ensure continuous power for critical systems by intelligently managing load and battery supply. Unlike traditional systems where power is split, this all-in-one unit automatically allocates power between the load and the battery, with priority always given to the load. This design reduces the need for over-sizing power supplies, as the battery charging current can also be redirected to the load if required.
Equipped with Battery Care technology, the CBI1210A uses algorithms that optimise battery charging, provide rapid recharge, recover flat batteries, and perform real-time diagnostics. Faults such as sulfated batteries, shorted elements, reverse polarity, or disconnection are quickly identified via diagnostic LEDs. Continuous monitoring minimises battery damage risk, ensuring safe long-term operation when batteries are permanently connected.
The charger supports multiple chemistries including Open Lead Acid, Sealed Lead Acid, Gel, Ni-Cd, and Li-Ion. It operates with IUoU multi-stage charging as well as constant voltage and constant current modes. By default, Boost and Float stages are programmed, but users can reconfigure to single-level charging via jumpers or PC software if required.
Built into a rugged, IP20-rated housing for DIN rail mounting, the CBI1210A integrates battery charger, power supply, and backup module in a single device. An AUX Interface is available for the optional RJTEMP temperature sensor, enhancing charging accuracy in variable thermal conditions. With comprehensive protections, compact footprint, and industry approvals, it is well-suited for industrial automation, fire and safety systems, and SCADA applications.
