CBI1235A – 12V 35A 500W DIN Rail DC-UPS with MODBUS RTU
The CBI1235A is a high-capacity 12V 35A DC-UPS designed for demanding industrial and automation applications. Delivering up to 500W of output power, it integrates power supply, battery charger, and backup module into a single compact DIN rail-mounted unit. Built with advanced switching technology and IP20 protection, it provides reliable backup for large loads and critical infrastructure.
With Battery Care technology, the unit supports IUoU 4-stage charging, constant voltage, and constant current operation. Automatic modes include Boost, Float, and Recovery to optimise charging, extend battery life, and recover deeply discharged batteries. Continuous monitoring ensures real-time fault detection including sulfated batteries, short circuits, and disconnection, with diagnostic LEDs and dry contact alarms for integration into system monitoring.
The CBI1235A supports multiple battery chemistries, including Open Lead Acid, Sealed Lead Acid, Gel, Li-Ion, and Ni-Cd. Load priority operation means available power is first directed to the load, with additional support from the battery as required, allowing up to 70A combined load current and 105A peak. The unit also includes selectable buffer times, protecting systems from downtime during power interruptions.
An AUX 1 Interface is available for the optional RJTEMP temperature sensor, while AUX 2 provides connectivity for the DPY351 Controller (HMI with Ethernet). In addition, the unit integrates MODBUS RTU (RS-485) for SCADA integration. The RTCONN Start from Battery cable is also supported via a dedicated connection point. With advanced protection features, high efficiency, and multiple communication options, the CBI1235A is built for high-reliability DC backup in critical applications.
